Adam's Deepblu Cosmiq+ App

Terms of Service

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Safety notice. This is unofficial, experimental software. It can change settings that affect your dive computer's decompression and safety calculations.

Always check every setting on the watch itself before entering the water, and never rely on this App alone for life-safety parameters. Diving carries serious risks, including decompression sickness, oxygen toxicity and drowning.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of “Adam's Deepblu Cosmiq+ App” (the “App”), a free web app created and maintained by Adam (“I”, “me”, “the developer”). By using the App you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. What the App does

The App runs in your browser and lets you (a) read and change settings on a Deepblu Cosmiq+ dive computer over Web Bluetooth, (b) download, view and export your dive log, (c) add your own notes to dives, and (d) optionally back up and sync your dive log and notes to your own Google Drive.

3. Not affiliated with Deepblu

The App is an independent, unofficial project. It is not made, endorsed, supported or approved by Deepblu or any dive-computer manufacturer. “Deepblu”, “Cosmiq” and related names belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify the compatible device. The App relies on reverse-engineered communication with the device, so it may stop working, or work incorrectly, with some models or firmware versions.

4. Your responsibilities

5. Google Drive

Google Drive sync is optional and uses your own Google account. Your use of Google services is governed by Google's own terms and privacy policy. The App requests only the drive.file permission and can access only the files it creates. You can disconnect at any time in the App and revoke access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. How the App handles your information is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Open-source software and ownership

The App includes the Bluetooth protocol and logbook-reading code of the open-source cosmiq5-web project, used under its MIT licence. That code remains the property of its authors and is subject to its licence. Apart from that and third-party names and trademarks, the App's interface and the rest of its code are created by Adam. You own your dive data and your notes; I claim no rights over them.

7. Availability and changes

The App is provided free of charge and may be changed, suspended or discontinued at any time, with or without notice. I am not obliged to provide support, updates or compatibility with any device or firmware.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, non-infringement, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Dive data, depth and temperature profiles, and settings shown or written by the App may be incomplete, delayed or wrong.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for any injury, death, loss of data, loss of profits, damage to your dive computer or other equipment, or any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damage. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

10. Ending your use

You may stop using the App at any time, and remove its data as described in the Privacy Policy. I may suspend or end access to the App at any time.

11. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and any dispute will be subject to the courts of Malaysia, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence says otherwise.

13. Contact

Questions about these Terms: [replace with your contact email] (Adam, developer of the App).
